Participating communities include Chappell, Kearney, Kimball, Neligh, O'Neill, Oshkosh, Pawnee City, Stanton, Wayne, Wilber, and Winnebago.
Teachers and students involved in Job Shadowing may visit the Bar Foundation's job shadowing web page where they will find short orientation podcasts. These podcasts help prepare both students and teachers for the experience they will have when they visit law offices and courthouses. Classroom resources and frequently asked questions about the program are also posted on this web page. Additional information includes a vocabulary, types of legal careers, courtroom procedures, and courthouse technology.
The primary message students are to take away from their job shadowing experience is the importance of working hard and staying in school. If you or someone in your school would like to participate in this activity, please contact Cindy Lilleoien, cindy@nebarfnd, for more information.
