Not even a good old Nebraska snow storm could stop Skutt Catholic High School from winning the Nebraska High School State Mock Trial Title. Skutt Catholic High School defeated the North Platte High School team in final round competition on Wednesday, December 8th, in Omaha. The Honorable Lyle Strom, Federal District Court Judge for the District of Nebraska, presided over the competition at the Roman L. Hruska U. S. Courthouse.
The Skutt team, which presented the government’s side of an immigration asylum case, In the Matter of Kev Inruser, has achieved the privilege to represent Nebraska at the National High School Mock Trial Championship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 6-8th 2010.
