Judges & Journalist Workshop
Embassy Suites Hotel
Lincoln, Nebraska
Full-day seminar
December 1, 2006
The program goal is twofold:
1)

Build greater understanding of the First Amendment and a Free Press.

2)
Examine the role of the judiciary in our democratic form of government.

Nationally recognized "law and media" experts will facilitate a day long program for judges and journalists interested in building greater public understanding of the judicial system.

National Center for Courts and Media Director Gary Hengsler emphasizes point to judges' breakout group.   Judges pose as journalists trying to 'get the story' from court participants after a mock trial.
